The Fallout from my super hero cowboy...
The Fallout from my super hero cowboy costume, and Cody's amazing song THE COOL CATS WILL CALL, has been fantastic. The video was well received. The outfit, complete with blue feather, is now hung in my closet awaiting the moment that a bull-legged, dressed up, singing cowboy is needed to save the day on Hollywood Boulevard. I begin production on the Broken Wings video next week... I'm also in process of finishing up a song that I am co-writing with Jason Peirce titled Angel Sing (which my son is slated to produce), and, Cody Melville is cooking up another song possibility for me as well. Oh, and I've dusted off my old Ensoniq keyboard workstation. It needs a soldering job - then I will pull sequenced tracks for a song I wrote many years ago and get that one off the Mike and Ed for, yet, another marvelous arrangement. Good days indeed for the Dresden Cowboy! God Bless.

Cowgirl Kimmy Asks...
Cowgirl Kimmy, a professed Dresden Cowboy fan, writes... "Hey, love your work Cowboy - I'm always looking for hidden meanings and the "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" seems perfect for your song The Cool Cats Will Call. But it gives me more than one way of thinking. Can you tell me how the video relates?
Well Cowgirl Kimmy... I looked at The Cool Cats Will Call (written and produced by Cody Melville) as being about how pursuing fame will make your heart empty and head full of distracting nonsense - at least, if you are prone to analyze. So the line "story books heroes are looking like a couple friends of mine" gave me the idea that super heroes were the easiest way to illustrate that understanding to the contemporary Disney/Hollywood super fueled attraction to Marvel, and other-like fantasy characters. The plastic hot police mannequin is intended to represent the vapid relationships which comes with the fallout of fostering a delusional fame driven ego. By design, these videos have a retro feel, so, I am hoping to invoke a bit of nostalgia reminiscent of the early days of MTV. I would add, in particular, on this video I experience a huge degree of surreal fun.

Broken Wings
Sent vocal tracks to L.A. producers Mike and Ed. They've put together a
compelling arrangement for my version of, yet, another Jason Peirce
song titled Broken Wings. I expect to begin production on the Music
Video early next week. It's a beautiful, soulful song and I look
forward to posting this version soon. My best!
