Got picked up...

A couple fans got a hold of me after a performance with Marty and Elayne @ the Dresden.

John DiFusco as the Shaman...

Shot with Mr. John DiFusco today in Riverside, CA.  Mr. DiFusco has signed on to play the role of the Shaman in the upcoming music video for the song titled BLISS.  The song features Moan Red on lead guitar, Dominic Martinez on bass, and Andrew Orozco on Drums.

Marty and Elayne's 38th Year @ the Dresden

 

I did not manage a photo with Marty and Elayne, but it was such a thrill to sing a set with them on the 38th anniversary of their musical residence at the Dresden in Hollywood, California.  I did end up in a snapshot with Rick Whitfield and John Steeber Jr that night.  Rick's a talented musician who also performed with Marty and Elayne, John's a talented man in his own right.  We all had a great time.

Birthday at the Dresden

What fun, I got to perform with Marty & Elayne at a private birthday party for Danielle Haim at the Dresden last night.  Danielle's sister Este sat in on bass for a couple songs, and her father performed on drums...  It was a cool musical crowd, and it was lovely to perform for them.

Dominic Martinez on bass...

Had an fantastic session today with bassist Dominic Martinez finalizing my upcoming song titled BLISS.  Have to shoot the video, but, expect to post this new song next month.

A Friend in Need...

Thomas Trapp has been a positive influence in my life. He has generously helped me in my endeavors without asking for anything in return. He is not afraid to be part of solutions... He involves himself in the world and props others up before himself. He is a good guy who is reaching out with a genuine request. If you can find the time to read who he is on this GoFundMe page, and can spare some extra dollars, you just might keep one of the good ones going. Oh, and, anyone in the Dallas/Plano area, if you need a handyman, please give him a call, he's looking for work.  Buy Thomas a PickAxe!

Grass roots guy or not...

Alright.  Since I'm thinkin' I'm some kind of grass roots up kind'a cowboy, Americana/Rock guy with this Dresden Cowboy catalogue...  And, of course, Marty & Elayne @ the Dresden helped get my voice back in shape by allowing me to sing with them, like, three nights a week!  I think I'm just sayin'  I'm going to finally put together a band to play these/my songs out.  First date will be early Feb. in Los Angeles, somewhere.  After that, we will see if the world's up for a singer from Detroit with a bit of time on the planet sing'in them songs the way he feels it...  Regardless, my son and I just formed a production company, and we have tons of stuff going on already - at theCEF.world.  The site won't be up 'till first of the year.  Still, it's the start of a great adventure!  Just wanted to mention all that.

Bliss...

Recorded drum tracks with Andrew Orozco today for next up on the Detroit Strange Album.  The song is titled Bliss, and, along with Andrew's drum work, it features guitar from Moan Red.  Video currently in the works.

Bernadine. (featuring Cody Melville on guitar).

This song, Bernadine, is one of the first songs I ever recorded back in my Detroit rock 'n roll days. Here is a new version of the song featuring Cody Melville on guitar. It will be included in an upcoming Dresden Cowboy release titled Detroit Strange. Enjoy.
 

Up and coming...

Okay, the Bernadine video is taking a bit longer than expected...  there's some amazing guitar work from Sir Cody Melville on this one, and, hopefully the vocals will keep up.

After that we're already getting shots for the next song, titled Bliss....

My buddy Dave apparently passed away a couple nights ago.
