Out of sorts...

Okay.  Sorry it's been a while.  I've been depressed.  I've been working on the Angel Sing video and it has, in a way, turned into a difficult adventure.  Mostly because a short while back, my first roommate and first bandmate Eric Norton passed away.  Then, my next door neighbor and friend for the past ten years, Mike Gracy, passed away.  And, in the middle of that, my buddy and Cinco de Mayo brother, Gabe Diaz, passed.  Um.., I lost my father in 2009 and I guess somehow I was thinking that I understood the death game.  That, somehow, with the passing of my father that sorrow was a thing that I could fend off and deal with on a more - okay I've dealt with this in the biggest way possible - way.  Yet, I'm simply shooting a music video and instead of it taking a couple weeks it turns into almost two months.  Regardless, I'm pretty sure I just got off my last shots for this video.  I'm thinking that maybe, hopefully, my recent experience of loss with several brothers dying has affected the upcoming Angel Sing video in a compelling manner.

Soon to see = Angel Sing!  (also would add: miss my buddies).

John Storie @ the Dresden

I was fortunate to, again, perform with my friends Marty & Elayne last night @ the Dresden in Hollywood.  I also got to do a couple songs with the addition of notable L.A. guitarist John Storie.  (Storie plays with Jeff Goldblum's band at Rockwell)  Mr. Storie sat in on Let The Good Times Roll, and, The Work Song adding amazingly cool vibe to my set.  Frankly, it felt a bit like I was preforming with the likes of George Benson.   Thank you John for plugging in, and thank Marty & Elayne @ the Dresden for allowing me your venue to perform my set.

Angel Over Shoulder Shot...

A bunch of people have said they see an angel over my shoulder in this photo. Sorry, I just don't see it. (Ironically, I started working on my next music video titled: Angel Sing. So perhaps it is appropriate that an angel is hovering about.)  The song is mixed, and I expect to finish the Angel Sing music video in the next couple weeks.  Angel Sing is the 12th song in the Dresden Cowboy catalogue and is considered to be the final tune in what is to become the first completed album from this catalogue and will post as such - very soon - on iTunes and Spotify.  The album will be titled One to 10 and will include ten of the original twelve songs posted on the Dresden Cowboy catalogue.  The first song of the second Album is expected to be a song titled DRAG.  It reunites me with producers Michael Madill and Edward Donnelly, which I hope to follow with songs from both Cody, and, Julien as producers as well.  Hope this gibberish makes sense.  I'm just trying to keep you all up to date.  Oh, I also expect to be playing out with a band by the end of this year.  Wow, talk about run-on information.

Bad family news...

I love this guy and I am very sad to hear of his early passing.
